Databases for research articles on teaching/education

You can start with the Advanced Search in LibrarySearch on the UT Libraries homepage
Below is an example of one effective first search strategy for articles.

Note: you can add more filters/limits once you generate a search results list by selecting options under "Filter your results" to the left of the results list. For example, under "Filter your results" you can limit the results to peer-reviewed articles only.

Non-exhaustive list of recommended specific databases for scholarly articles on course themes:

ERIC
Comprehensive index of education research (primarily US focused, please keep in mind the educational system has different governing policies from the Canadian system).
Education Source
Indexes research on education, including conference papers.
Canadian Business & Current Affairs Database
Includes articles on education topics with a Canadian focus.

Ulrichsweb
If you need to know whether a journal article is peer-reviewed or not, this database is very helpful. You simply enter the title of the journal in which the article appears and look in the appropriate column.
For 'peer reviewed' they use the term 'refereed'.
