Finding Company HR Information

Finding HR information can be difficult. You will have to get creative to find information for your assignment. 

  • Most companies do not publicly disclose their HR practices.
  • Use the research tips below to find information on HR practices, and then you can explore the same topics in peer-reviewed journal articles.

Compensation

Public companies disclose compensation information for their executives. Use Capital IQ to search for a company. Click "Compensation" from the left menu. 

 

Compliance

Search for company news to see if there are any recent stories about regulatory requirements not being met, discrimination, tax allowances, etc. 

Professional Development

Some companies boast about their professional development programs on their recruiting pages. Explore company websites to see what they disclose. 

Recruitment

Analyze recent job postings (company website or job searching website). Find out if they use a recruitment process outsourcing, Search for recent news using recruitment keywords

Training

Search Google for the best company training programs. You will probably find an article or two ranking companies. These articles are usually summaries of HR research studies, where you may find more information.
