"The Environmental Science Major and Minor programs reflect the fact that most environmental issues are complex. In order to understand these issues, students must have an underlying foundation that provides a breadth of knowledge from across these science disciplines, and must understand and integrate scientific principles from across the physical and biological sciences, recognizing the multi-scale and multidisciplinary nature of the field. At its core, environmental science is concerned with the scientific analysis and development of creative solutions to environmental problems."
