This research guide was developed to help the students in ENG 279 find relevant materials for the History of Video Games assignments and related interests.

Please DO NOT pay for articles or sources for your assignments - the library can help you gain access to our materials and materials from other academic libraries too.

Make requests to visit the Reading Room on the main floor of the library so that you can engage with items from the Syd Bolton Collection:

• Location: Level two (ground floor) of the UTM Library in the Hazel McCallion Academic Learning Centre (HMALC)
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm
• Closure: The Archives & Special Collections will be closed on national holidays and December 15, 2025 to January 4, 2026 for the Winter Break.
