VIC119: Myths and Legends in Modern Contexts

A guide created for students of Vic119, Ancient Narratives in Modern Contexts.

Myths and legends, or "ancient narratives" are often reused, reinterpreted or reconstructed in modern narratives and given new relevance in a contemporary context. This course provides an introduction to modern forms of myths and legends, exploring the ways in which selected ancient literary sources and myths have been adapted to modern Canadian and other narratives.
