Research Guides

Canadian parliamentary publications

This is a research guide to the major publications produced on behalf of Canada's Parliament since Confederation (1867). The focus is on publications widely available to the general public.

Effective September 2012, paper distribution of publications of the House of Commons and Senate ceased. They are now only available in electronic format.

This guide provides a brief description, coverage dates and index availability for all listed parliamentary publications. A supplementary section on useful resources provides links to key  websites and print titles.

Print and microfilm resources cited are available in the Government Publications Collection on the 5th floor of the Robarts Library at the University of Toronto. Additional copies may be available at other University of Toronto libraries.
