FactSet allows users to quickly generate a list of comps and associated financials, multiples, ratios or other benchmark data.
| 1. | Select the 'Company/Security' tab from the top navigation bar |
| 2. | Select 'Overviews' > 'Comps' from the left-hand menu |
| 3. | Load the target company if it has not already been loaded. Enter the company name or ticker or use the magnifying glass icon to search for and select the company. Multiple companies can be loaded - use the pull-down menu to then toggle back and forth between these. |
| 4. | Use this pull-down menu to change the source of the comps displayed. To view more options, click on the wheel icon on the far right of the screen to change and select different settings. |
| 5. | Use this pull-down menu to change the number of comps displayed. |
| 6. | Click here to add comps to the list or to conduct a simple screen to find additional comps. |
| 7. | Hover over a company name to reveal a red 'x'. Click on this to remove a comp from your list |
| 7. | The list of comps will default to the 'Selected Financials' report. To view another report, click on the yellow folder to open the drop-down menu and select from one of the options provided. |
| 8. | Click on the 'New' to build a report from scratch. Click on the 'Edit' option to add or remove data items from an existing report. |
| 9. | Click on the green arrow to download the report into Excel or as a PDF. |
