Green Chemistry Workshop (Past Event)
GCI’s first ever Green Chemistry Workshop on March 6, 2024 will be hosted by Beyond Benign and held in a hybrid format hybrid (online and via Zoom). Students can claim hours for the below parts of the event:

Reaxys Training Session (Past Event)
Please complete the form above to register for an upcoming training and information session about the Reaxys database on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at 3:00pm. The session will be offered in-person in the Davenport Seminar Room & online via Zoom (link shared via email). This training session will cover the following topics:
- Structure drawing tools for substance searching and reactions with Reaxys
- Tips for searching for inorganic and organometallic compounds.
- How to create a short list of substances for unknown Identification using the properties in Reaxys.
- New AI-enhanced Predictive Retrosynthesis Tool
Transdisciplinary Knowledge Co-Production (TDCP) Workshop (Past Event)
Engaged scholarship that involves partnership with non-academic stakeholders and addresses real world and complex challenges of sustainability and climate change requires a different approach to building knowledge and facilitating action. The Committee on the Environment, Climate Change, and Sustainability (CECCS) is hosting a Transdisciplinary Knowledge Co-Production (TDCP) Workshop for early-career researchers, post-doctoral fellows and PhD students at U of T on December 4, 2023 from 10am - 1pm at Hart House. The first pilot session will introduce the concept of TDCP sustainability research, offer an opportunity to discuss the perspectives of different academic and non-academic partners, and include a working lunch to discuss what U of T should do to encourage more TDCP.
Introduction to Research Data Management in Chemistry (Past Event)
What does research data management (RDM) mean to you? Have you ever thought about how to organize your research outputs in a deliberate and meaningful way? Come join your Chemistry Librarian on Thursday, November 30, 2023 at 2:30pm in the Davenport East Seminar Room to learn more about the basics of RDM and share your thoughts/questions with your peers. Additional sessions will be offered during the Winter and Spring/Summer terms.
CRAFT Microfluidics Professional Course (Past Event)
CRAFT is pleased to announce that it will be offering its Microfluidics Professional Course from July 12-14, 2023, at the University of Toronto (U of T). This class is suitable for industrial and academic researchers, clinician scientists and trainees without prior experience with microfluidics. The three-day course will consist of morning lectures given by world-renowned microfluidics experts.

The TATP offers a number of workshops and certificate programs for Teaching Assistants who wish to further develop their teaching skills. Please note that any required and/or paid job training that you complete as part of your TA assignment does not count towards your professional development hours.

Volunteer for WICTO & CAGIS Polymer Outreach (Past Event)
Interested in sharing your love for chemistry and inspiring the next generation of STEM students? Come join us on our WICTO & CAGIS collaboration event on Sat May 6 2023 @ 2:00-4:00pm where you will get the chance to lead grade 3-8 girls with fun and engaging hands-on polymer experiments! This immersive and stimulating event will help empower girls to pursue a career in STEM. Eligible towards 2 hours in any of the Personal Effectiveness, Communication, or Research and Teaching categories.
