Use the Library Catalogue to find books.
If you know the name of the book or the author of the book that you are looking for, enter it and select the correct field. If you do not, you can search using keywords. For example, if you are looking for a book about Northern Renaissance art, or about a specific artist, enter those terms. Here, we are looking for a specific book, Art in Theory, so the title field has been selected:
Once you have your results, you can refine them. For example, if you are interested in books located only in the UTSC library, you can select UofT at Scarborough on the left hand side, under Library.
The record of the book will tell you the following:
- If the book is available (IN or OUT)
- What library it is located in: (UofT at Scarborough)
- Whether it circulates (Stacks - this means you can borrow it)
- Call number (the alphanumeric combo that you will need to find the book on the shelf: N6490 A7167 2003)
If you are interested in getting a book that is located at Robarts, UTM, or any of the other libraries downtown, you can use the library's very convenient service: Intercampus Delivery. This service allows you to request a book from other libraries for pick-up at U of T Scarborough library, saving you much time.
1. When you find an item you want in the catalogue, click on the title.
2. Click on Options and then on Request to have the book shipped to U of T Scarborough.
3. You will be asked to fill out a request from online, which includes your Tcard barcode, so have it handy.
