Fall 2023 Book Club

The Indigenous Book Club is Back for Fall 2023!

The UTSC Library is very pleased to announce that the U of T Indigenous Book Club is back for the Fall 2023 Term, and will be in-person!

Register to attend our Thursday, November 9th, 12:00-2:00 meeting and join the group to discuss our 2023 short-listed titles Hunting by Stars: (A Marrow Thieves Novel) by Cherie Dimaline, Plants Have So Much to Give Us, All We Have to Do Is Ask by Mary Siisip Geniusz, and the podcast Métis in Space with hosts Molly Swaid & Chelsea Vowel (see below for more details). Take a look at one, two, or all three of these titles in October and then join us on November 9th to come back together and discuss what we've all engaged with and learned (and if you don't have time to fully engage with these stories please join us anyway and learn what you missed and might want to check out!).

Discussion questions:

1/ Where/how do you see Indigenous knowledge showing up through what you read or listened to?

2/Are there moments where Indigenous knowledge and western knowledge are in conflict? Moments where they work together harmoniously?
