Start your research by doing background reading using encyclopedias, course readings and reference materials. Then use academic journal databases to find scholarly, peer-reviewed articles on your topic.
You can also search directly within a few recommended academic journals:
Search the library catalogue for books with the subject terms related to your research (for example: English Language or Education). You can find these books in the UTSC Library on the 1st and 2nd floors.
Many of the resources available through the University of Toronto Library will not be available in China. However, there are open-access sources available to continue your research when you return home.
