How can I find a specific newspaper?

If you want to locate a specific newspaper, look it up by its title in the library catalogue

  • Put the title in quotation marks for more accuracy
  • Select title from the drop down menu

The newspaper that I'm looking for didn't come up in a catalogue search. Where else should I look?

The Media Commons on the 3rd floor of Robarts Library has a large collection of newspapers in microform. If you don't find it there, you can try looking in the Other Libraries section, or get in touch with us

Search for news articles from the library homepage

Use the library homepage to search for newspaper articles. To find newspaper articles: 

1. Enter your keywords in the "Start your search" bar and hit enter

2. Select "All articles" at the bottom of the "Articles" box

3. Under format, unselect "Journal article", and select 'Newspaper article.'

Good for English language news, particularly Canadian and American.
