Open Access Week 2010

Your Guide to Open Access including OA Week 2010

Year Round Open Access Projects

In addition to events being planned for Open Access Week, the UofT Libraries actively support Open Access all year round through a number of ongoing projects:

T-Space
This dynamic digital archive manages, preserves and provides world-wide and timely access to the research output of the University of Toronto’s faculty, graduate students and research groups, including graduate theses. Enjoy tracking how many times your material is downloaded and which countries are most interested in your work.

Open Journal System
OJS, an open source journal management software, facilitates the complete workflow for the creation of online journals, including article submission, peer review, editing and publication.

Open Conference System
OCS is an open source tool which facilitates the creation of a conference web site, call for papers, electronic submission of papers and abstracts, participant registration, proceedings publication and post-conference online discussion.

Synergies
The University of Toronto is actively involved in Synergies, a country-wide network for the production, storage, dissemination of and access to digitized knowledge produced in Canada. The initial focus is on peer-reviewed journals in the Social Sciences and Humanities.

Digitization
Some of our best research relies on primary sources-community histories, legal documents, historical photographs and archival records. University of Toronto Libraries has digitized thousands of these materials and made them freely available on the web.
